Under the patronage of the Swiss Ambassador in Qatar, the Swiss Business Council LLC (G) (SwissBCQ) launched the Second Edition of the Swiss Excellence Award. The Awards granted by the SwissBCQ to companies, individuals or institutions in recognition for their contributions to enhancing the cooperation, the business relations between Qatar and Switzerland and promoting Swiss products and services in Qatar.
The 2017 Long Life Achievement awarded to:
- Mr.Hamad Al Mulla the CEO of Qatar Hospitality as recognition for his longtime relation with Switzerland and new opening an outstanding Hotel called Bürgenstock Resort Lake in Lucern.
- Dr.Anna Grichting, Professor in Qatar University received the Excellence Award for her great projects as a Swiss Lady in the state of Qatar.
- Mr.Christoph Franzen, General Manager of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, one of the most reputable General Manager has also received Excellence Award for his continued engagement in promoting relations between Qatar and Switzerland.
The Gala Event sponsored by Credit Suisse, Nestlé, the Swiss Embassy, and SG-e. This special event was attended by close to 100 VVIP and high caliber guests at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski on Wednesday, November 29th evening.
The exclusive event enjoyed among others the presence of H.E. the Swiss Ambassador, Mr. Etienne Thévoz, the Chairwoman of Qatari Women Association (Ms.Aisha Al Fardan) and their entire executive committee members, the Executive Committee Members of the SwissBCQ, Members of the SwissBCQ and distinguished guests.
